Aqueous Pigments
These pigments are to be used in conjunction with the flocking adhesives sold by DCA/CCL.
Aqueous pigment is often used in the flocking process. It is added to an Aqueous Adhesive which is then applied to the surface before the flock fibres are applied. It helps to match the colour of the flock with the flocking surface to produce a seamless finish. For example, when flocking light colour fibres onto a dark colour surface, a light colour pigment is usually added to the adhesive to pre-colour the surface and provide a more uniform finish.
Aqueous pigment is environmentally friendly and does not contain the harmful solvents that are found in some dyeing processes.
